Automakers are usually creating special editions to commemorate wins from the distant past but the latest Mulliner specials from Bentley were designed for something a lot more recent. We are talking about a pair of bespoke Continental GT S models, commissioned in Australia as tributes to the Bentley Continental GT3 racer that won at the Bathurst 12-Hour race in 2020.
The Mulliner division worked with Bentley Sydney to create the special models following the Australian market launch of the sporty Bentley Continental GT S.

Both cars feature the #7 number on the grille and Beluga black accents on the roof, mirror caps, between the taillights, and on the lower bumper area. They also come standard with the Blackline Specification which brings a polished black finish to all of the chromework, and the Styling Specification which adds carbon fiber bits on the splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser.
The difference between the two models is the exterior shade – one of them is painted Apple Green reminiscent of the 2020 racecar, and the other is painted Silver Tempest similar to the 2017 launch car of the second-gen Continental GT3. Both specials come fitted with the S-specific 22-inch wheels finished in Gloss Black.
Moving inside, there is a combination of Leather and Dinamica upholstery in Beluga shade with Apple Green accents (piping and stitching). The Bathurst logo can be found on the headrests, while other special touches include the “one of two” treadplates, the outline of the Bathurst track on the carbon-fiber dashboard, and the names of the racing drivers who drove the victorious #7 printed on the center console. Finally, each of the two owners will also get a 1:18 scale model of the Continental GT3 #7 and a framed artefact.
There are no mechanical changes to the Bentley Continental GT S which is the sportiest trim of the V8 lineup inspired by the W12-powered Speed performance flagship. This means that the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. Just like the standard model, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint is completed in 4 seconds. The S trim also features a louder Sports Exhaust and the Bentley Dynamic Ride 48V active anti-roll system as part of the standard kit.
Business is doing great for Bentley‘s Mulliner division which created 500 bespoke models in 2022. One thing is for sure – we should expect more special editions based on different models of the Bentley range in the near future.
