The Wildtrak is a quite popular trim of the Ford Ranger pickup, but it had yet to become available in the closely-related Everest body-on-frame SUV. This changes in 2023, at least in New Zealand, where Ford revealed the first Everest Wildtrak.
The Wildtrak expands the Everest lineup next to the entry-level Trend, the mid-range Sport, and the luxurious Platinum. The new trim combines adventurous looks with plenty of standard equipment and is positioned right below the flagship Platinum.

As with the Ranger, the Everest is now available in the Luxe Yellow shade, combined with Bolder Grey accents. It gets the Wildtrak-specific grille and front bumper, side steps with steel inserts, alloy-style roof rails, and a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels distinguishing it from other trims. Finally, black Wildtrak lettering can be found on the bonnet, front doors, and tailgate.
Inside there is ebony leather and Miko suede upholstery with contrasting Cyber Orange stitching and Wildtrak embroidery. The driver’s seat has 10-way power adjustments and also benefits from heating and cooling functions. The digital cockpit comprises an 8-inch digital instrument cluster (the 12.3-inch unit is only available in the Platinum) and a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay connectivity. Standard equipment also includes a 10-speaker audio system, wireless charging, and plenty of ADAS.
The Ford Everest Wildtrack is exclusively available with the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine producing 247 hp (184 kW / 250 PS) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox and the electronically controlled full-time 4WD system.
The model will arrive in New Zealand in July 2023. While Ford didn’t comment about its availability in other markets, it is likely the Everest Wildtrak will find its way to Australia, where the SUV has proven to be quite popular. Pricing will be announced at a later date but we already know it will slot between the Sport and the Platinum trims.
