A blue C5-generation Chevrolet Corvette has been wrecked in a severe crash in Anderson Township, Ohio that left authorities with a particularly challenging recovery job.
The incident occurred on January 1 when the Corvette left the road and sped down an embankment several hundred feet, only coming to a rest near the concrete structure around a small creek.
Photos published by Anderson Professional Firefighters show just how desolate the area was where the Corvette was found. Not only is the road not visible in any of the photos but neither are any homes or other structures.

Authorities have not provided any information about the injuries sustained to the driver of the Corvette but state that a rope system was used to remove them from the car.
Evidently, this Corvette will never return to the roads given how much damage it has sustained and the fact that police cut off the roof to reach the driver.
This isn’t the only recent crash involving a Chevy Corvette. In late December, shocking footage emerged of the driver of a C7 ‘Vette being pulled from their car after being involved in a crash with an Audi Q3 and a Jeep Cherokee. In this accident, the Corvette was left with serious damage and caught fire shortly after impact.
