It seems that Manhart is becoming more and more interested in JLR SUVs; following the Range Rover Vogue RV 650 for the Middle East, the Wuppertal-based tuner previewed the Range Rover Sport SV 650, featuring the same power upgrade combined with sportier looks and a limited production run of 10 units.

Manhart released two renderings of the model, promising to offer plenty of personalization options to its customers. The highlight is the massive 24-inch forged alloy wheels which in the pictured example are finished in a flashy gold shade. The same color can be found on the stickers around the bodywork, and on the Manhart branding, contrasting with the black shade. We don’t have a preview of the interior but the tuner offers an option of leather and Alcantara upholstery, proposing a matching black and gold theme.

The model is based on the new Range Rover Sport P530 First Edition which is the current flagship of the lineup. However, Manhart tuned the BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 to produce 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and 890 Nm (656 lb-ft) of torque, which represents a healthy increase of 118 hp (88 kW / 120 PS) and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) compared to stock. The tuner didn’t announce any acceleration figures but the extra oomph will likely result in something quicker than the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.5 seconds of the standard P530.

Besides the power boost, which is likely courtesy of ECU remapping and the removal of petrol particulate filters, Manhart is also offering a suspension upgrade for those who seek greater handling and a lower stance from their Range Rover Sport. The sound experience can also be elevated thanks to an optional exhaust system with valve control.

Would you take your Range Rover to Manhart for spicing up the looks and bring some extra performance or would you rather keep it stock and classy?
