U.S. tuning company PaxPower has unveiled its heavily-modified Chevrolet Silverado aimed at competing with the most potent of pickup trucks produced by Ford and RAM.

Dubbed the Jackal, the tuner’s creation can be built from any crew-cab, short-box Silverado and starts with the standard body panels being removed and replaced with new ones. These new panels add 8 inches of additional width to the pickup and include aggressively-flared wheel arches. Should customers wish to go the extra mile, various hoods and off-road bumpers are available.

PaxPower has then turned its attention to the Silverado’s suspension, fabricating boxed steel control arms that widen the track by 6 inches and also boost ground clearance by 3 inches. New 2.5-inch front coilovers and rear shocks from King Racing Shocks with remote reservoirs and adjustable dampening have also been installed. Additionally, there are Deaver progressive-rate leaf springs.

Much like the Ford F-150 Raptor R and Ram 1500 TRX models, the Jackal Silverado sits on new off-road wheels. They measure 17 inches in diameter and are wrapped in either 35-inch or 37-inch BFGoodrich tires. A Borla stainless steel exhaust system is also available.

PaxPower offers the Jackal Silverado with Chevy’s 3.0-liter diesel, 5.3-liter V8, and 6.2-liter V8 engines. Shoppers seeking the ultimate in performance and a vehicle that can really rival the Raptor R and TRX can opt for the 6.2-liter V8 that’s supplemented by a 3.0-liter supercharger to deliver 650 hp and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque. This variant also includes a high-flow air intake, a separate cooling system, and a tuned ECU.

A full Jackal Silverado build starts at $24,950 while the supercharger system adds $12,450 to the sticker price. PaxPower also offers a Jackal conversion based on the Silverado ZR2 that adds $19,950 to the pickup’s MSRP.
