The Lamborghini Countach has long fascinated petrolheads thanks to its otherworldly design and over-the-top performance. And now a very low-mileage example is coming up for sale.
This 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition, which was made in the final year of the car’s existence, has just 155 miles (249 km) on the odometer. Delivered new to the Clark Motor Company in Heath, Ohio, it is being sold at auction later this month.
Sold to a Detroit-area doctor, documents associated with the vehicle show that it had 82 miles (138 km) on the odometer when it was delivered. That means that the car has moved just 73 miles (131 km) since reaching private hands.

Thirteen of those miles (20 km) can be accounted for by a dealer who between 2010 and 2020 kept the car as a static display, and drove it only short distances in order to ensure that all of the mechanicals were in working order.
The Lamborghini is so original, in fact, that it still sits on the Pirelli P Zero tires that it was delivered with 33 years ago. That means that the car’s new owner will likely have to get a spare set of wheels with fresh tires if ever they want to drive it, but it’s unclear if they will.
Almost certainly among the lowest-mileage Countaches left, this example has surely become a showpiece at this point. More of an intricate, interactive sculpture than a car, every mile will have to be justified by its new owner.
Fans of restraint, though, will get a remarkable showpiece. Finished in Metallic Black over gray leather, the car comes with the original manuals, sales literature, and the bill of sale, which shows that it was purchased new for $275,000.
According to the U.S. inflation calculator, that’s the equivalent of $615,762 in modern money. RM Sotheby’s, which will handle the sale at its Phoenix, Arizona, auction, estimates this Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition will sell for between $750,000 and $1,000,000.
