Hot on the heels of the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio being updated for the 2024 model year, the refreshed sedan has been spied testing in flagship Quadrifoglio guise for the first time.
In updating lesser Giulia models, the Italian car manufacturer fitted a set of new headlights with revised LED daytime running lights and an altogether more purposeful appearance. Alfa Romeo has also tweaked the front grille.
As for this particular prototype, Gabetz Spy Unit snapped it with black and white camouflage around the headlights, a clear indication that it is the facelifted model. You will also notice that it is running on temporary manufacturer license plates and is covered in a thick layer of dust. Evidently, this prototype has been tested in all kinds of conditions.
Beyond the updated front fascia, the new Alfa Romeo Giulia will receive the same interior tweaks as the standard model. That means there will be a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as previously found on the smaller Tonale and complete with a number of different graphics modes. This will include a Heritage setting that has been designed to mimic the look of the instrument cluster from a 1960s Giulia.
We don’t expect Alfa Romeo to make any considerable modifications to the Quadrifoglio’s powertrain. As such, it should retain the same 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged direct-injection V6 pumping out 503 hp at 6,500 rpm and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. It’s also possible the 2024 Giulia Quadrifoglio’s engine will be tuned to the same level as the limited-run GTA and GTAm, potentially meaning it will be good for 533 hp. Whatever the case may be, power will continue to be routed through the rear wheels thanks to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
