Our spy photographers have been hard at work in far north Europe recently and have just snapped some new images of the facelifted Audi A3 Sedan.
This isn’t our first chance to see the new A3 being put through its paces in Europe’s cold conditions. Indeed, we saw a 2024 A3 testing in late January. The difference here is that whereas that model was a hatch, this one is the refreshed sedan.
The front fascia of this prototype is clad in black-and-white camouflage that hides many of the design changes. Alterations appear quite minor, so much so that the shape of the air intakes appears identical to the current model. The shape of the grille also looks very familiar, although we can see that Audi has enlarged the holes in the mesh.
Elsewhere, the headlights of this prototype don’t look much different than the current model but look a little closer and you will notice that some changes have been made. Most notably, the top section of the headlights has at least 24 small LEDs that can light up to show different patterns and double as the turn signals. We’d hate to think how much a replacement headlight would cost, but they look nice. Audi has also fitted a small LED light bar to the front of this prototype but that obviously won’t be featured on the production model.

Modifications made to the rear of the 2024 Audi A3 sedan aren’t significant but do include revised LED taillights which are visible in these latest spy shots. A new bumper is also expected, even though it is covered in camouflage on this prototype.
Little else is known about the updated A3 range but the same array of engines as the current model will probably be featured. That could include an entry-level 1.0-liter three-cylinder with 108 hp, a 148 hp 1.5-liter inline-four, a 148 hp 2.0-liter diesel, and a 242 hp PHEV in Europe. Shoppers in the U.S. may only be able to order the new A3 with a 201 hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol.
