The facelifted 2024 Porsche Cayenne has been snapped undisguised in the middle of an official photoshoot in Cape Town, South Africa.
Porsche has been working on the facelifted Cayenne for quite some time and earlier this month, released a handful of official images and videos of its prototypes being tested in all kinds of conditions. These new images only show the SUV from a distance, making it hard to make out certain design updates.
Nevertheless, we can see that Porsche was snapping photos of both the regular 2024 Cayenne and the 2024 Cayenne Coupe. Funnily enough, it was also using a Cayenne camera car.
The photos were shared on Instagram by Wilco Blok. We can see that both the Cayenne models are equipped with new LED taillights that appear wider than those of the outgoing model while also sporting a more prominent light bar connecting them.
While not visible in these images, we know that the 2024 Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe will also receive revised headlights with new HD-Matrix LED technology that is said to be twice as bright as the current lights. Porsche has also made a series of changes to both the front and rear bumpers of the SUV. We have not yet seen any images of the SUV’s interior but the carmaker has confirmed that it will feature an “extensively digitalized display.”

Beyond the updated styling, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne will benefit from a series of “major” revisions to the chassis that aim to improve on-road performance, long-distance comfort, and off-road capabilities. The SUV will also arrive with dual-chamber air-spring suspension. The car manufacturer has not yet confirmed if any powertrain changes have been made.
Porsche has spent the last few months putting the 2024 Cayenne through a grueling testing campaign in countries including Morocco, Spain, the U.S., Germany’s Nurburgring, and ice tracks in Finland.
