The story contains renderings by Tacoma4G that are neither related to nor endorsed by Toyota.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma was revealed in patent images last month and it looks virtually identical to the electric truck concept that was introduced in 2021.
Now, the model has been rendered into reality by the Tacoma4G team. Shown in both TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro guise, the renderings are based on the patent photos and show what the redesigned Tacoma will look like when it debuts later this year.
While Toyota is keeping details under wraps, the model follows in the footsteps of the Tundra and adopts a muscular design that features sharp lines as well as heavily stylized bodywork. They’re joined by rectangular fog lights and air curtains that are integrated into the front fender flares.

Elsewhere, the model sports a familiar greenhouse and an edgy tailgate that is flanked by C-shaped taillights. The truck also sports a plain rear bumper, which unfortunately eschews side steps like its larger counterpart.
The design has already received mixed reaction, but at least the 2024 Tacoma will come with modern powertrains. Details remain unconfirmed, but the current 2.7-liter four-cylinder and 3.5-liter V6 are expected to be replaced by a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder developing around 265 hp (198 kW / 269 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque.
Rumors have also suggested the model could be offered with a version of the Hybrid Max powertrain that is available on the Crown and enables the sedan to produce 340 hp (254 kW / 345 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque.
