An email sent by Lucid to its customers has revealed important specifications for the entry-level Air Pure RWD some four months after it was unveiled at last year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
When Lucid lifted the veil on the Air Pure last year, it said it would be offered in RWD and AWD guises but only released specifications for the AWD, confirming it has 480 hp and 410 miles (660 km) of range. Now, Lucid has started contacting prospective owners and informing them that the Air Pure RWD is available to configure and in this email, reveals some key details about it.
The email uncovered by Auto Evolution reveals that the rear-wheel drive version of the Air Pure pumps out 430 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It also has an estimated EPA range of 406 miles (653 km) and is said to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds.

As you would expect, the Air Pure RWD is also a touch more affordable than the AWD, starting at $87,400 excluding shipping, compared to the $92,900 starting price of the AWD.
Underpinning both Lucid Air Pure variants is the car manufacturer’s Long Range Battery Pack consisting of 18 modules. Lucid has previously confirmed that the 900-volt architecture of the EV allows the Air Pure AWD to add up to 200 miles (322 km) range in 15 minutes. We don’t yet know how quickly the Air Pure RWD can charge but it should be approximately the same.
