There’s no shortage of electric trucks on the horizon, but Fisker has released new details about the upcoming Alaska.
Speaking during an earnings presentation, Henrik Fisker talked about the company’s future product portfolio as the automaker eventually wants to sell one million vehicles annually. While this won’t happen overnight, the executive teased new models in “new segments” and said they’ll have “at least four unique features in each vehicle.”
Fisker didn’t go into specifics, but mentioned the Ronin convertible as well as the “Alaska program, which is our take on a pickup truck.” The executive said he’s “super excited” about showing the latter as it has “some amazing features,” which have “never been done on a pickup truck before.”

When asked about the model, Henrik Fisker replied it will be “very broadly based on the Ocean” and a derivative of the crossover. This suggests the truck won’t be very rugged, but Fisker noted basing the model on the Ocean will enable it to come to market relatively quickly.
There are also considerable cost savings as the company doesn’t have to develop a truck from scratch. Speaking of which, the automaker noted they have a “pretty significant employee base in India,” which enables for “much reduced cost than hiring here in California.”
We can expect to learn more about the Alaska at the company’s Investor Day event, but Henrik Fisker has previously called the model a lifestyle truck that could be the “lightest, most efficient EV pickup in the world!”
