The US-spec Acura Integra is a five-door hatchback based on Honda Civic underpinnings, but in the Chinese market, there is another Integra sharing even more with the Civic. The Honda Integra as it is called was already available in a four-door sedan guise, but it now got a new five-door hatchback variant. Both are produced in China by GAG-Honda and are available with ICE-powered and hybrid powertrains.
The Honda Integra was originally introduced in September 2021 as GAC-Honda’s alternative to Dongfeng-Honda’s Civic. The models are sharing their underpinnings, powertrains, interiors, and most body panels, although the Integra came with a redesigned face and a slightly different tail. In the case of the Honda Integra hatchback, similarities are even more evident.

As we can see from the first official photos, the Integra hatchback retains its signature face with the elongated LED headlights and the more stylish bumper, but the rest of the bodywork is largely shared with the Civic hatchback. In fact, setting aside the face and the alloy wheels, the only change at the back is the unique rear bumper with vertically-mounted reflectors, a sportier diffuser, and more black trim above the chrome dual tailpipes. This applies to the ICE-powered trims, as the hybrid e:HEV models don’t come with visible tailpipes.
Chinese buyers also get the option of market-specific exterior colors like the pictured yellow, tastefully combined with a black roof. The Integra hatchback measures 4,563 mm (inches) long, 1,802 mm (inches) wide, and 1,415 mm (inches) tall, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm (inches). This makes it 126 mm (5 inches) shorter than the Integra sedan, and only 14 mm (0.6 inches) longer than the Civic hatchback. We don’t get to see photos of the interior, but it is also expected to be carried over from its twin brother.
As with the Civic, the 240 Turbo trim comes fitted with a turbocharged 1.5-liter VTEC four-cylinder engine producing 180 hp (134 kW / 182 PS) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque. Power is transmitted to the front axle through either a six-speed manual or a CVT. Then there is the e:HEV with a self-charging hybrid powertrain comprising a naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter engine and a single electric motor.
GAC-Honda has started accepting pre-orders for the Integra hatchback, although pricing has yet to be announced. We expect the five-door model to be similarly priced to its four-door sibling, which starts from ¥129,900 ($19,320) for the 240 Turbo and from ¥163,900 ($24,377) for the e:HEV.
