Of those fortunate enough to own a new G82-generation BMW M4 Competition, we suspect the majority of them are very happy with it in its stock form. For those seeking a little extra, however, Manhart has the answer.
The German tuner is no stranger to modifying various BMW models but for its latest project, which it dubs the MH4 600, it decided to go for a slightly more discreet approach and to focus most of its energy on improving performance.

Of the exterior alterations made to the car, the most eye-catching is the carbon fiber front splitter. The M4 Competition is now also rocking carbon fiber side skirts. Carbon fiber is also found in the front grille and across the rear diffuser. The wheels come from the M Performance Parts catalog and are known as the Styling 1000 M forged wheels, complete with a matte gold bronze finish and measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear.
Then we come to the powertrain. The lively 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder of the M4 Competition ordinarily pumps out 510 hp and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque but seeking something more, Manhart equipped it with its new MHtronik auxiliary control unit that lifts power to 635 hp and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque.
Manhart has also designed a stainless steel exhaust system for the BMW and can pair it with race downpipes either with sport catalytic converters or without. The Petrol Particulate Filter (OPF) is also removed. Four ceramic-coated tailpipes measuring 100 mm are also fitted.
The tuner hasn’t said how quickly the MH4 600 will sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) but does say it needs just 10.5 seconds to reach 200 km/h (124 mph). It can also sprint from 100 km/h to 200 km/h in 6.42 seconds.
