Dubbed the GRONOS Coupé EVO C, what you see before you is a Mercedes-AMG G63 with more excess tacked onto it than you can shake a stick at. It features reverse-hinged doors, 24-inch wheels, four captain’s chairs, and nearly 900 horsepower. Here’s what eight people who buy this “one of one” (you read that right) creation can expect to own.
First of all, what the heck is the GRONOS Coupé EVO C? It’s a G63 with the rear doors lopped off and a lot of additional changes made by Mansory. It’s being sold in a limited run of eight units that Mansory says will be delivered to each buyer as a “unique specimen”. To that end, each will be deeply customized according to the buyer’s desires.
Aside from the rear-hinged doors, this SUV features unique front seats that fold forward for easier access to the rear chairs. Mansory says that the change “does not result in any serious loss of comfort compared to the 4-door.” The cabin itself can be equipped with just about any sort of color, quilting, and carbon design imaginable.

The exterior is also a dramatic departure from the standard G-Class thanks to additional vents placed all over the body from the fenders to the hood to behind the rear windows. Do they do anything other than sit there? Mansory doesn’t say. What it does tell us is that this thing is sitting on 24-inch wheels with 295/30R24 tires.
To its credit, Mansory doesn’t just stop at a bunch of glitzy desperate cry-for-attention body panels. No, it also tacks on a pair of larger turbochargers, new downpipes, a high-performance exhaust system, stronger fuel system parts, and a custom tune to take full advantage of the mods. All of that together results in what Mansory says is 887 hp (661 kW) and 884 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque. That’s impressive considering that the stock G63 makes 576 hp (429 kW) and 626 lb-ft (850 Nm).
That feels like too much power though because if one were to use all of it they’d be out of the view of all the people that they hoped would stare at them too quickly. Mansory says that the GRONOS Coupé EVO C will rocket from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. If I were a betting man I’d say that we’ll never ever see one actually accomplish that feat.
