Polaris today announced that it has entered into a new partnership with Roush Performance. Together, they have created a special edition model of the three-wheel Slingshot, which is inspired by the racing world.
“We’re proud to be collaborating with Roush to deliver a special edition like no other,” said Chris Sergeant, Polaris Slingshot VP. “We wanted to design a ride that authentically reflects Roush’s trusted heritage of performance, but remained true to the wow-factor, adventure-seeking lifestyle only Slingshot provides.”
Based on the Slingshot’s well-appointed R trim, the Roush Edition model is powered by a 203 hp (151 kW/153 PS) engine. To that, the tuning company adds Racetrack Red trim that can’t be had anywhere else in the lineup. It also gets blacked-out badging, and steering accents, including a red stripe at 12 o’clock, just like on race cars.

Roush also adds four-piston Brembo brake calipers to the Slingshot. The front wheels’ rotors are slotted and 14 percent larger than on the standard Slingshot R. To help better connect the driver with those brakes, Sparco pedal covers are also fitted, and the brake and clutch pedals are shortened and widened for better control.
In addition, the Slingshot gets a special Roush graphics package, that puts the company’s branding on the seat covers, the instrument cluster, and other places. In models with the manual transmission, the Roush branding can also be found on the shifter, while those fitted with the AutoDrive transmission get composite shift paddles behind the steering wheel.
The model also comes with the Slingshot Excursion Top, which can be put up and taken down without tools and offers better headroom and visibility. It also provides shade for the seven-inch, touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay. A stage 2 audio kit from Rockford Fosgate will help keep you entertained even when the wind is rushing past your ears.
A stage 3 audio kit can be ordered as an option for a little more money. Heated and cooled seats, additional storage bags, a color-matched rear fender, and more can also be ordered as options.
Prices for the 2023 Polaris Slingshot Roush Edition start at $37,349 in most states ($37,649 in California, and $46,999 in Canada). The new model is expected to start shipping to dealers in the spring of 2023.
