Say hello to ‘Felix,’ an insane 1969 Chevrolet Camaro restomod brought to life by a company called Sean Smith Designs.
For those among you unfamiliar with Sean Smith, he previously worked at the likes of Saleen Automotive, Ringbrothers, SpeedKore, and Salvaggio Design before starting up his own brand. He was approached directly by the owner of this Camaro and asked to create something very special. He has done just that with the help of Driven Speed Shop.
The car, unveiled at the recent 2023 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California, is a real head-turner.

Adorning the exterior of Felix is a simple shade of silver that suits the car’s aggressive personality absolutely brilliantly. Various new body panels were then crafted for the car, including a new front fascia with driving lights and a splitter. A front grille crafted from billet aluminum is also featured as are new headlights and subtle winglets on the outer edges of the splitter.
As for the rear, Smith wanted to make the car appear as wide as possible so he designed new taillights that were 3D machined with custom lenses. He also made sure to ensure that there are as few vertical elements as possible, adding to the wide appearance. Other exterior highlights of the ’69 Camaro include new doors and billet door handles, as well as various accents finished in Liquid Champagne and satin Charcoal Grey.
Underpinning the car is a new Fast Track chassis from Roadster Shop that incorporates C7 Corvette spindle and hub assemblies. There are also Baer six-piston calipers and 14-inch discs at all four corners, as well as a set of 18×9 front and 19×12 rear HRE wheels with 255/35 and 325/30 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.
Found in the cabin is an all-new dashboard and upholstery finished in Charcoal Grey and Crème leather. Handcrafted seats have also been slotted in.
The pièce de résistance is the engine, taking the form of a 427 cubic-inch LS7 V8 from Wegner Motorsports that churns out 1,180 hp and is mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed transmission driving the rear wheels.
