Acura has just dropped new information about the hotly-anticipated 2024 Integra Type S performance edition, revealing its horsepower and torque figures, teaser images, a short video, and a release date. The model is set to debut in April and will be available at US dealerships later this summer.
Getting straight to the point, the 2024 Acura Integra Type S will produce 320 hp (239 kW / 324 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque from its turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC four-cylinder engine. This makes it slightly more powerful than the US-spec version of the closely related Honda Civic Type R which makes 315 hp (235 kW / 320 PS) and the same amount of torque.
Power is sent to the front axle exclusively through a six-speed manual gearbox with the help of a standard limited-slip differential. The company brags about the model’s “class-leading power-to-weight ratio”, although detailed specifications and performance figures have yet to be released. We expect the Type S to benefit from a more aggressive chassis setup than the lesser Integra trims, similar to the track-focused character of the Civic Type R.

The red-themed teaser shots are not too revealing but combined with the previous official photos of camouflaged prototypes give us a great idea of the exterior design. The aggressive bodykit includes sportier front and rear bumpers, wide fender extensions, side skirts, and a carbon-fiber lip spoiler that is a lot more discreet compared to the Type R’s rear wing. Another standout feature of the Type S will be the triple exhaust pipes mounted in the middle, just like in the Honda sibling. The tailpipes are highlighted in the teaser video which also reveals the raspy soundtrack of the hot hatch.
The performance flagship of the Integra lineup will debut in April, ahead of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach which is scheduled for April 14-16.
