Spy photographers have been taking pictures of the Q6 e-tron for nearly two years, but the wait is almost over as Audi has kicked off the crossover’s teaser campaign.
Shown here in prototype form, the EV will help spearhead the “largest model offensive in the history of the brand” as the Q6 e-tron will be one of more than 20 new models introduced by 2025. It will also be one of the more than ten new models that are electric.
Audi isn’t saying much at this point, but the Q6 e-tron will be the first vehicle based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and it will have an 800-volt electrical system that should allow for speedy recharging. Speaking of the latter, the automaker said we can expect an “innovative battery and charging management system” as well as “powerful and efficient electric motors.”

While the pictures aren’t very revealing, the Q6 e-tron will be offered in both standard and crossover coupe forms. Spy photographers have also caught the front end undisguised and it will feature a silver fully enclosed grille, which is flanked by split lighting units. The upper lights have a pixel-like design, which suggests they are customizable like on the Q4 e-tron.
More recent spy photos have given us a glimpse at the interior, which features a digital instrument cluster and a freestanding infotainment system. They’re joined by a tiered dashboard, slender air vents, and a minimalist center console that is largely devoid of switchgear. The crossover also sports a flat-bottom steering wheel that appears to be shared with the Q4 e-tron.
Performance specifications are the biggest mystery, but the model could have a roughly 100 kWh battery pack as well as a dual motor all-wheel drive system developing 469 hp (350 kW / 476 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. Additional setups are expected and there could be a RS Q6 e-tron with up to 637 hp (475 kW / 646 PS).
