This is an independent design study by Alexey Semenov and is not related to nor endorsed by Polestar.
When you consider how young the Polestar brand is as an electric vehicle maker, it’s hard not to be impressed with what it’s done. And, based on its future plans, it has plenty of exciting new vehicles just around the corner. What’s missing from its product plans? Perhaps a supercar or hypercar?
The remarkable creation you’re looking at imagines what a flagship hypercar from Polestar could look like and to say it’s eye-catching would be an understatement. It looks just as wild as some of the Vision Gran Turismo concepts unveiled in recent years while still maintaining some characteristic Polestar design details.
The man behind the concept, dubbed the Polestar_21 Aero Coupe Concept, is Alexey Semenov. The Russian-born designer has worked for the likes of VW, Volvo, Subaru, Fiat, Nio, Great Wall, Fisker, and Mercedes-AMG before starting his own company, A³ Agency.

In creating the Polestar concept, Semenov took inspiration from the 1920s, also known as the Golden Age of car design. Many cars from this era had long hoods so this Polestar also has one too, albeit one that is considerably sleeker, lower, and more aerodynamic than any vehicle from a century ago.
The design of the front end is particularly striking thanks to the familiar LED headlights from Polestar. There are also some huge air intakes and a large opening that directs air from the front splitter and over the hood and windshield.
The radical looks and shape of the car continue at the rear where you will notice an LED light bar and a Formula 1-inspired central brake light. A prominent diffuser is also featured and when the car is viewed from the rear, you’ll notice that the track of the front end is actually wider than the tail.
