News about Mustang drivers making ill-conceived choices in their sports cars is all too common. What’s far less common is when an actual horse does something a bit wild and damages a car in the process. That’s exactly what we’ve found on a short video though and a related caption contest has sparked some hilarious responses.
First posted over on the ThereWasAnAttempt subreddit, the 13-second video clip shows two horses approach what looks to be a Toyota Camry. One strides by the side of the car while the second horse seems to get confused about how close and how big the car is as it runs straight up to the front of it. When it leaps in an attempt to clear the car it comes up far short and ends up landing on the windshield itself.
The horse seems largely uninjured and frees itself from the broken glass quickly before trotting off out of the view of the camera. Thankfully, two people that immediately emerge from the four-door sedan also seem to be uninjured. That’s impressive considering that the aftermath seems to show where the hooves of the horse could’ve landed in the cabin.

Online, jokes immediately started pouring in. “Try explaining that to insurance,” said one comment. “Even the Farmers Insurance guy hasn’t seen that one before!” said another. Others joked about how this Toyota couldn’t handle any extra horsepower.
In reality, the video might have actually played a big role in getting the damage covered. We’re still trying to gather more information on where this video originates from. If we learn any more about it we’ll update you here.
