Even the most basic Lamborghini Countach is special but this particular example, once owned by singer Rod Stewart, is certainly one of the most extraordinary you’re ever going to come across.
The Italian supercar has been listed up for sale through Bring a Trailer. The listing notes that it rolled out of the factory in November 1988 as a 25th Anniversary model and was delivered new to the U.S. where it was purchased by Rod Stewart in 1990. The singer kept the car for a few years before it was purchased by a family from Ohio and remained in their possession until it was bought by the current seller in May 2022. The car is being sold with factory books, tools, a copy of the previous California title in Rod Stewart’s name, service records, and a clean Carfax report.

Adorning the exterior of the car is simple black paint and the car has been equipped with a European-market front bumper and the towering rear wing that helped make the Countach so famous. The standard 15-inch OZ Racing wheels have been retained and are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tires measuring 225/50 front and 345/35 rear tires. The listing notes that the brake master cylinder was replaced in December 2022 and that the brake calipers were rebuilt at the same time.
A look inside the cabin reveals power-adjustable bucket seats clad in black leather. The previous owner fitted a telephone but it no longer works. A look at the odometer confirms the car has been driven a touch under 12,000 km (~7,300 miles) since new.
Driving this true great of the supercar industry is a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V12 that is mated to a five-speed manual transmission powering the rear wheels.
