After confirming last summer that the Bronco will become available in Europe in late 2023, Ford gave away more details about the EU-spec version of the off-roader. The Bronco will arrive in the Old Continent in “strictly limited numbers” offering a choice between the Outer Banks and Badlands specifications, exclusively in the four-door bodystyle.
Ford didn’t announce a specific date for the market launch of the 4×4, but said it “will soon be available to order in select European markets”. Pricing will also be announced at a later date, although we expect it to come with a premium compared to North America.
The company confirmed that a very limited number of First Edition Broncos will come with “unique exterior details, an interior build number badge, and selection of key available accessories”. The latter will include neoprene seat covers, door storage bags, and a soft mesh top. Just like the US-spec Bronco, the European models will be manufactured in the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne before being exported to the other side of the Atlantic.

All of the EU-spec Ford Broncos will come fitted with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 producing 330 hp (246 kW/ 335 PS) and 563 Nm (415 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is exclusively mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission which works together with the four-wheel-drive system. The latter is more advanced in the Badlands specification which gets stronger front and rear Dana axles with electronic lockers, an anti-roll bar disconnect system, a two-speed electromechanical transfer case (instead of electric), and Bilstein position-sensitive dampers for the High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension.
Note that the Outer Banks trim comes fitted with 18-inch wheels shod in 32-inch Bridgestone tires, while the off-road-focused Badlands gets 17-inch wheels wrapped with 33-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain rubber. The two models also have differences in the G.O.A.T driving modes, with the Sport for the Outer Banks and the Baja and Rock Crawl for the Badlands, alongside the Normal, Eco, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Sand which are shared between the two.
In terms of comfort and technology features, standard equipment will include a 12-inch touchscreen for the SYNC4 infotainment, a 360-degree camera, heated front seats, a 10-speaker B&O sound system, and a comprehensive ADAS package.
