Genesis Motor America announced that it has expanded the availability of its electric vehicles to dealers in a total of 15 states. The step is being hailed by the company as a significant milestone on its path to offering only electric vehicles in 2030.
As a result of the newly announced expansion, customers will be able to buy the GV60, the Electrified GV70, and the Electrified G80 at select dealers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
“This expansion of EV sales in the United States marks a significant milestone in our journey towards an all-electric lineup by 2030,” said Claudia Marquez, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America. “We are pleased to now be offering our award-winning lineup of electric vehicles to a much broader audience of American customers.”

In addition, the automaker announced that buyers of the 2023 Electrified GV70 will be welcome to unlimited free 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America stations around the U.S. for the first three years of ownership.
Like the GV60 and Electrified G80, owners of the Electrified GV70 will also get access to 150 kW to 350 kW charging speeds at any of the supplier’s 800 stations, and 3,500 charging ports across America.
“As we take this next step into our fully-electrified future with our third EV model, Genesis is pleased to be collaborating with Electrify America to deliver convenient charging solutions to our customers,” said Marquez.
The Electrified GV70 is powered by a pair of electric motors that combine to produce 429 hp (319 kW/435 PS) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. For short bursts, the motors can make use of a Boost mode that, pumps power up to 483 hp (360 kW/490 PS).
