The dramatic vehicle you’re looking at is the Hongqi E702 and when it hits the market, it will be one of China’s most eye-catching sedans and could prove to be one of the brand’s most in-demand vehicles.
These preliminary photos of the car are thought to showcase it in concept guise, meaning the eventual production model may look a little different. Your attention will immediately be drawn to the front fascia where there is an illuminated Hongqi badge, complex LED stripes incorporated into the bodywork, and prominent daytime running lights. The design elements make the front end look almost identical to that of the Hongqi E202 SUV concept that emerged just a few weeks ago.
The side profile of the car is also very striking. You will notice that there are digital wing mirrors as opposed to traditional mirrors as well as a hump on the roof that houses a LiDAR unit. Bold wheels also catch the eye as does the lack of visible door handles, a design feature that we doubt will be carried through to the production model.

Similarities between the E202 and the E702 sedan in question continue at the rear with identical LED taillights with a complex signature. An illuminated Hongqi badge is also featured.
Given that the car has yet to be unveiled in full, limited technical details are known about it. Chinese media reports that it will be equipped with an advanced semi-autonomous driving suite that can make automatic lane changes, overtake slow-moving vehicles, and take entry and exit ramps without input from the driver.
FAW-Hongqi is also tipped to build the E702 with a 2,800-watt Dolby Atmos sound system while also equipping with all of the carmaker’s latest safety systems. The E702 will also support over-the-air software updates that can download up to 5GB of data per minute.
