Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath has teased the 3, 4, and 5 EVs undergoing cold weather testing.
The most notable is the Polestar 4, which has been camera shy as we’ve only gotten a few glimpses of the upcoming crossover coupe. That’s changing as we can see the model will be smaller and sleeker than the Polestar 3, while also sporting a rakish windscreen that flows into a car-like roof.
The combination of distance and camouflage aren’t doing us any favors, but we can see a short sloping nose and what appears to be flush-mounted door handles. They’re joined by a relatively compact greenhouse, muscular rear haunches, and an aerodynamically-optimized rear end with full-width taillights.

Polestar hasn’t said much about the crossover coupe lately, but it’s expected to borrow heavily from the 3 that launches later this year with a WLTP range of up to 379 miles (610 km). It features a 111 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system developing 483 hp (360 kW / 489 PS) and 619 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque. Customers can also get an optional Performance Pack that increases the output to 510 hp (380 kW / 517 PS) and 671 lb-ft (910 Nm).
The Polestar 5, on the other hand, is a performance sedan that echoes the Precept concept. The company has already revealed a lot about it and the model will have a new bonded aluminum chassis, an 800V architecture, and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a targeted output of 872 hp (650 kW / 883 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque.
Besides showcasing the prototypes, Ingenlath appeared to throw some shade at Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk. In particular, he said “We might lack the art of using Twitter to our advantage, but we don’t lack the art of developing awesome EVs and delivering our portfolio.”
