Audi is introducing an update for all Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron models built up to and including the 2022 model year that brings with it a handful of new features.
The software update will allow users of all Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron models to create personal profiles. It is also now possible for users to use the e-tron route planner in the myAudi app to plan a route and send it to their Q4 e-tron model. The myAudi app can also be used to locate the car’s parking position while also being able to check a number of different status messages. A new wireless over-the-air interface is also featured.

The German car manufacturer’s software update also introduces a ‘Preferred charging time’ function that helps owners charge at low-cost times, such as at night with a variable-rate electricity plan. The thermal management system has also been improved, taking now into account the outside temperate and the state of charge when conditioning the battery. An improved charging power control system also now enables DC charging power at up to 135 kW.
A new battery protection function is now holding the battery in the ideal state of charge by limiting it to 80 percent. The update also brings with it a system that automatically authorizes and activates a charging station when the cable is plugged in.
New personalization functions have also been implemented, meaning owners can tweak the ambient lighting and customize the background images shown in the infotainment display.
This new software suite comes packaged as standard on 2023 Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron models.
