Ruf Automobile has just set up shop in Miami, Florida thanks to its new local distributor, Ruf North America.
The famed German manufacturer of extensively modified and re-engineered Porsche models has established its North American headquarters within The Concours Club, a high-end private racetrack and facility located right next to the Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport.
Not only will Ruf owners and customers have access to the headquarters itself but the carmaker will also have full access to all of the track’s amenities. This includes a 2,100-foot straight and a digital telemetry system that records on-track data. The company will also offer vehicle sales, parts, servicing, and host private events at The Concours Club.
“Ruf Automobile stands for engineering excellence, authenticity, passion, and above all, the thrill of driving,” Ruf North America president Victor Gomez IV said in a press release. “Establishing our headquarters in a global destination city like Miami at a special automotive resort like The Concours Club is a perfect base of operations. The Concours Club presents an incredible opportunity to engage with our customers in a very special way.”

Perhaps the most striking vehicle recently introduced by Ruf was the Bergmeister, unveiled at The Quail in August last year. The car takes the form a speedster with a lightweight carbon fiber body that takes inspiration from some of the brand’s iconic hillclimb racers.
The Ruf Bergmeister is based on a 993-generation 911 but has all-new body panels and is also outfitted with an air-cooled turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six pumping out 444 hp and 442 lb-ft (599 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.
