The intersection of East South Boulevard and Centerpoint Parkway in Pontiac, Michigan was the scene of a violent accident between one person doing donuts and two other street racing Thursday night. One of the three individuals driving at the time is in grave condition as a result. The crash involved a stolen Dodge Challenger, a Nissan 350Z, and a Ford Focus.
According to police, the Challenger, driven by a 24-year-old man from Saint Clair Shores, had been reported as stolen out of Toledo, Ohio. The video shows him doing donuts in the middle of the intersection while a bystander films.
Shortly after it begins we see one car fly into the frame before it seems to clip just the front section of the Challenger, destroying its headlights in the process. As the first drag racing car is almost out of the video frame we see a second car rush in and hit the Challenger directly in the side.

Police say that the driver of the Challenger wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was subsequently ejected from the vehicle. Both the driver of the Focus, a 19-year-old man from Waterford Township, and the driver of the Nissan 350Z, an 18-year-old man from Jackson, were listed in stable condition.
A passenger in the Nissan also escaped in stable condition. Police believe those in the Nissan and the Ford were all wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident but clearly, speed and reckless driving could be. The investigation is still underway as of this writing.
This incident has a trifecta of poor decisions from the reportedly stolen car to doing donuts in an intersection to illegal street racing. That’s to say nothing of the gigantic lack of driver awareness shown by all three drivers in this particular case. For one, it might cost them their life.
