German tuner Techart has unveiled its latest creation, a highly limited, motorsports-inspired take on the Porsche 911 Turbo S. Limited to just 19 examples, the GTstreet R Flyweight removes about 132 lbs (60 kg) from the car, and adds a wide variety of new aero elements and a bunch of power.
To begin with, Techart gives the 911 Turbo S its Powerkit TA092/T2.1 upgrade package, which adds optimized turbochargers, sports air filters, overrun air valves, and tuning software. All in, that amounts to a total of 788 hp (588 kW/800 PS) and 700 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque.
The tuner says that’s good to get the car off the line and up to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds, and on to a top speed of over 217 mph (350 km/h). To keep that all under control, it also adds Öhlins coilover suspension and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

For higher speeds, meanwhile, the GTstreet R Flyweight is helped out by its thoroughly redesigned aero package. That includes a fixed carbon fiber front splitter, side air fins, and a carbon fiber under body panel, all of which help to significantly increase downforce, Techart claims.
A carbon fiber front fender with wheel arch extensions has more prominent (and efficient) air outlets, while the rear wing has a weight-optimized carbon fiber base. The angle of the upper wing can be adjusted to help balance downforce and drag requirements.
The front lid and rear intake cover, meanwhile, have been replaced by carbon fiber parts, and their hood locks replaced with quick-release latches to help save every ounce. A lightweight polycarbonate rear window also helps the car shed pounds.

The weight savings continue inside, where the front seats are replaced by Recaro Podium CF performance seats, whose carbon fiber shells weigh just 10.8 lbs (4.9 kg). Custom pads, meanwhile, are 3D printed to add as little material as possible, while being strategically placed to keep drivers comfortable.
The rear seats, on the other hand, are simply thrown out and lightweight carpeting is utilized inside to help reduce the amount of insulation necessary. In all, these modifications, in addition to the exterior changes, help reduce the weight of the car by around 132 lbs (60 kg), as compared to a similarly specced 911 Turbo S.

We can’t wait for our customers to experience it for themselves – both on the world’s most demanding racetracks and on the road.”
Set to make its public debut on March 21 at the Bangkok International Motor Show, customers will have to act fast because order books have already opened for the GTstreet R Flyweight, of which, as mentioned above, only 19 will ever be made.
