This is the Nezha GT, an all-electric sports car heralding from China and set to launch later this month. It comes from the Nezha brand under the Hozon Auto banner and will go on sale alongside the Nezha S sedan, Nezha U-II SUV, and Nezha V crossover.

The Nezha GT, formerly known as the Nezha E, has a seriously striking and appealing exterior design, making it quite the head-turner. It’s also a welcome relief to see a Chinese car manufacturer launching an electric sports car, unlike the sedans, SUVs, and crossovers that we’ve become accustomed to seeing from The People’s Republic.

Information from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reveals that the GT measures 4,715 mm long (185.6-inches), 1,979 mm wide (77.9-inches), and sits 1,415 mm high (55.7-inches). It has a wheelbase of 2,770 mm (109-inches) and has some design elements that remind us of pre-existing production models. For example, the sleek and curvaceous headlights have similarities to those of the Lotus Eletre, albeit on a slightly larger scale. Meanwhile, the taillights remind us of the lights found at the rear of the Maserati MC20 supercar.

The Nezha GT Is An Electric Sports Car That Looks More European Than Chinese

A number of other design details catch the eye. For example, there is a pronounced black splitter and triangular-shaped front air intakes with curved corners and an altogether refined and classy shape. Prominent vents are also visible on the hood as are black design details behind the front wheels that also house small camera units. The silver and black wheels with an intricate spoke design are also quite attention-grabbing, although some simpler wheel designs will also be available.

Nezha has gone to town crafting a bold interior for the GT. The most striking feature is the huge, portrait-oriented 17.6-inch infotainment display and the large digital instrument cluster. There is also a very sporty three-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom and trimmed in plush leather. The car has four seats but we suspect the rear seats are probably quite cramped.

A number of different powertrains will be offered for the car. Entry-level models will be powered by a single electric motor with 228 hp (170 kW) while flagship models will have two electric motors with a combined 456 hp (340 kW). The driving range of the Nezha GT will vary between 560 km (348 miles) and 580 km (360 miles).

Pricing details have not yet been announced.
