Chinese automaker Zeekr builds some of the most eye-catching electric vehicles on the market and it is gearing up to soon launch in Europe. It is also working on an enticing new sedan.
While recently speaking about the company’s most recent financial results, Zeekr chief executive An Conghui said the brand will touch down in Europe by the end of 2023 before launching in the U.S. in 2024. Helping it grow its appeal across these new markets will be a plan that will see it launch five new models by 2025.
“Zeekr is a well-established product in China but will expand rapidly in international markets, which is our original goal,” An said.

While the full selection of new models in the works isn’t yet known, Autocar reports that one new model will take the form of a sedan. Currently codenamed CS1E, standing for compact sedan first-generation electric, it is expected to be a rival to the Tesla Model 3. Such a car is bound to become one of Zeekr’s most popular offerings and given how dramatic each of the brand’s current three models are, we expect it to also have an edgy design.
Zeekr says that once its family of EVs grows to eight, it will be able to sell as many as 650,000 vehicles annually. Those are lofty targets for a carmaker that sold 71,941 vehicles last year, all of which were its 001 Shooting Brake. It recently revealed its intention to double sales this year thanks to the launch of the 009 MPV as well as the X compact SUV.
“By 2025, we will have eight models to achieve 650,000 units. We believe this is achievable,” An added.
