The Cupra Formentor isn’t the only model getting an update as spy photographers have snapped the facelifted Leon Sportstourer on the Nürburgring.
Dressed in heavy camouflage, the wagon has a new front bumper with a massive intake. It appears to follow in the footsteps of the facelifted Formentor as we can see horizontal and diagonal supports, which could be echoed in reverse on the grille.
Additional changes are limited, but we can see vertical air curtains and a lightly camouflaged liftgate that could be hiding a revamped Cupra badge. We can also expect updated lighting units and some minor interior revisions.

It remains to be seen if there will be any powertrain updates, but the current Leon Sportstourer offers an insane amount of options. Kicking things off is a 1.5-liter TSI four-cylinder that develops 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS) and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque. Customers can also get a 2.0-liter TSI with outputs of 188 hp (140 kW / 190 PS) and 242 hp (180 kW / 245 PS).
There’s also a plug-in hybrid variant, which has a 1.4-liter TSI engine, an electric motor, and a 13 kWh battery pack. This gives the model a combined output of 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS) and an electric-only range of 37.9 miles (61 km).
Buyers looking for more performance can upgrade to the Cupra Leon Sportstourer VZ, which offers 2.0-liter TSI engines producing up to 306 hp (228 kW / 310 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Customers can also get a plug-in hybrid that produces 242 hp (180 kW / 245 PS) and can travel 36.7 miles (59 km) on electricity alone.
