Lexus has announced the 2024 UX 250h will start at $36,490 when it arrives at U.S. dealerships later this spring. That’s $640 more than its predecessor and the price includes a destination fee, which has climbed from $1,075 to $1,150.
While prices are up, the model largely carries over as the only new addition is the expanded availability of a power liftgate with a kick sensor. It’s a $550 option and it’s offered alongside a $75 wireless smartphone charger.
Speaking of equipment, the UX 250h features an edgy design with a spindle grille, plastic body cladding, and 18-inch alloy wheels. They’re joined by LED lighting units and aluminum roof rails.

Moving inside, drivers will find a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch Lexus Interface infotainment system with cloud-based navigation as well as wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Other highlights include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, washi trim, and eight-way power front seats with NuLuxe upholstery. They’re joined by a dual-zone climate control system, a six-speaker audio system, and a Smart Access system with a push-button ignition.
On the safety front, there’s the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 suite of driver assistance systems. It includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with pedestrian and cyclist detection. They’re joined by Intelligent High Beams and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. The model also has a rearview camera as well as a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear-Cross Traffic Alert.
Under the hood, there’s a hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, two motor-generators, and a small nickel–metal hydride battery. This gives the crossover a combined output of 181 hp (135 kW / 184 PS), which allows for a leisurely 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of 8.4 seconds. While it’s not a speed demon, the UX 250h returns 43 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 42 mpg combined.
Buyers who need extra grip can get an all-wheel drive system for an additional $1,400. When ordered, the crossover is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor.
