Despite the fact that the BMW M2 G87 is quite young, owners already have a few options when it comes to tuning from both aftermarket companies and BMW’s own M Performance parts catalog. The latest to join the fray is TRE with a new bodykit made entirely out of carbon fiber.
TRE’s bodykit provides subtle yet effective improvements to the BMW M2‘s exterior, with the company claiming that it delivers both an aesthetic and aerodynamic boost with increased downforce and reduced drag. The front splitter, side skirts, and rear bumper extensions with integrated fins feature a bold, naked carbon finish that adds a sporty touch to the car’s appearance.

Another small detail is the carbon fiber add-on that is visually connecting the front fenders with the side sills. More importantly, the tail got a fixed rear wing which is adjustable for road or track use. All of the components are manufactured from 2×2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber, so they don’t add much weight to the vehicle.
TRE previewed its BMW M2 bobykit in a series of CAD-generated images, where the car is depicted with a set of aftermarket wheels, blue calipers and obviously lowered suspension. However, the tuner doesn’t mention any chassis or performance upgrades. This means that the M2 retains the stock twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine that produces 453 hp (338 kW / 460 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque.
The kit is listed on the Autoid website, although its price has yet to be announced. Among the other tuners that have already presented their proposals for the BMW M2 is Manhart, which offers more extensive aero, chassis, and powertrain upgrades.
