Those who brag about the benefits of owning a full-size three-row SUV should have a look at the Force Citiline, an Indian model that comes with four rows and a total of 10 forward-facing seats so you can carry your entire squad whenever you go.

The Force Citiline might be new for 2023, but it is actually a slightly different version of the existing Trax Toofan and Trax Cruiser from Force Motors with their underpinnings dating back to the ’90s. All three SUVs – better described as MUVs (multi-utility vehicles) – look identical, with a boxy shape that is heavily inspired by the old Mercedes G-Class. At the front, the large halogen headlights make it clear that this is not a G-Wagen, with the Citiline being the most premium of the triplets thanks to the body-colored bumpers, fenders, and grille. The body measures 5,120 mm (201.6 inches) long, with a 3,050 mm (120.1 inches) wheelbase.

Moving inside, the main difference is the seating layout. The Force Citiline has 10 forwards-facing seats arranged in a 2+3+2+3 layout, leaving absolutely no room for luggage. Still, the company suggests that the Citiline offers the best-in-segment room for everyone on board. Interestingly, the Trax Toofan and Trax Cruiser can carry even more people, coming with 11 and 13 seats respectively, although the rear passengers will be facing each other.

The cabin is accessible through four regular-sized doors, so it must be challenging to sit in the fourth row. Thankfully, the second row folds with a 60:40 split, and the third row has two seats allowing room for a small corridor between them. The equipment is quite basic, but at least there is A/C with a separate unit for the rear passengers so they can cope with the harsh weather conditions of India.

All three models are powered by an ancient 2.6-liter four-cylinder common-rail diesel engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz that produces a rather bland 90 hp (67 kW / 91 PS). However, the torque of 250 Nm (184.4 lb-ft) will make sure it can haul all this weight. The mill is exclusively mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The ladder-frame chassis features double wishbone suspension with a torsion bar at the front and leaf springs at the back. Those who take their MUVs off the beaten track quite often, should probably opt for the upcoming long-version of the Force Gurkha, which will be a rugged version of the aforementioned vehicles.

As reported by RushLane, the Force Citiline is priced from ₹15.10 Lakh ($18,430) in the Indian market, making it a bargain for all that available space.
