Ford Pro continues the electrification of its LCV range with the debut of another fully electric van scheduled for April 6. The company didn’t specify the name of the model in the official teaser, but it is clear we are talking about the fully electric version of the next-gen Transit / Tourneo Courier.
The short video that was uploaded on Twitter and Instagram shows the dark silhouette of a van, revealing its LED lighting signature on both ends. This is not the first time Ford shows us hints of the Transit / Tourneo Courier, as the models were included in the official teaser for the upcoming EVs, published exactly one year ago.

While the new teaser doesn’t reveal much, our recent spy shots give us a better idea of the fully redesigned exterior of the Transit / Tourneo Courier. The LCV and minivan twins will adopt a boxier stance, with taller headlights surrounding a large grille which will be covered in the electric variant.
Just like their predecessors, the new Ford Transit / Tourneo Courier will share their underpinnings with the discontinued Fiesta supermini and the Puma B-SUV. However, the latest evolution of the platform will be compatible with both ICE and EV powertrains. The E-Transit will most likely mirror the specs of the Ford Puma EV that will debut in 2024. As for the combustion-engined Transit, it is expected to feature the mild-hybrid 1.0-liter EcoBoost, sending power to the front axle through either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission.
Ford had previously announced that the E-Transit Courier would debut in 2024, one year after the combustion-engined version of the LCV. It seems that the plan has now changed, bringing the debut of the EV a lot closer. In any case, styling differences between the powertrain variants are expected to be minimal, as is the case with other models.
The Ford E-Transit Courier will expand Ford’s zero-emission LCV family in Europe, slotting below the midsize E-Transit Custom and the large E-Transit. As for the VW Caddy-based Transit / Tourneo Connect, those will be the only ones without an EV variant since their platform is not compatible with an electric powertrain.
