Jaguar Land Rover has issued a recall for select 2023 Range Rover Sport models in the United States but fortunately for it, it is a very small recall campaign. Indeed, just five vehicles are impacted.
The car manufacturer has revealed through a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall notice that certain 2023 Range Rover Sport models were installed with an incorrect taillight. This means the turn signal will flash amber as opposed to the red that it needs to be in the U.S. market. In addition, the bodyside brake light may not function as it should.
Jaguar Land Rover notes that the incorrect taillight lamps do not meet the requirements of FMVSS 108 and could make it more difficult for other road users to see the rear of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Two field reports were made to the carmaker throughout October and November last year about rear lamps not functioning correctly. An internal investigation was launched and it was found that five Range Rover Sport models built between July 22, 2022 and November 3, 2022 have the issue. There have been no reports of accidents, fires, or injuries.
Dealers will be notified of the recall on April 20, 2023 while owners will be informed on or before June 2, 2023. Subject vehicles will be inspected and if an incorrect taillight is found, it will be replaced with a correct one.
