Owning a Lamborghini certainly has its perks, as evidenced by a recent event held by the car manufacturer for select clients across Europe and the Middle East that offered them the chance to put the new Lamborghini Urus S through its paces.
In what was the first event for the Urus S after its market introduction earlier this year, Lamborghini clients and guests participated in a special 12-day event in Sicily. They had the chance to test the Urus S over more than 160 km of roads and dirt surfaces near Mount Etna. They even had the opportunity to drive the SUV on dirt in a private quarry.
Guests stayed at the luxurious San Domenico Palace for the duration of the trip, overlooking the Ionian Sea as well as Mount Etna. They enjoyed a dinner from Michelin-starred chef Massimo Mantarro and could even participate in a guided hike on Mount Etna where they had lunch at an ancient estate known as Podere dell’Etna Segreta, previously owned by Benedictine monks.

Throughout the course of the event, artist Alessandro Florio painted a special piece to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Lamborghini. Lamborghini will display the painting at its headquarters during a special 60th anniversary exhibition.
The Lamborghini Urus S replaces the standard Urus and borrows some components from the high-performance Urus Performante. While power continues to come from a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, it has been massaged to now deliver 657 hp, allowing the super SUV to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds while powering through to a 189.5 mph (305 km/h) top speed.
Lamborghini has not announced U.S. pricing details for the Urus S but in Italy, it starts at €195,538 (~$214,000) before taxes.
