The story has been updated with new images revealing the interior of the concept on April 10, 2023.
Lancia will give us the first proper look at its new styling language at the “Emozione Pu+Ra” event on April 15 in the form of a new two-door sportscar concept. New teasers reveal the circular roof, wraparound greenhouse, and interior of the concept, while confirming it will use a fully electric powertrain.
Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, described the concept as “the brand manifesto for the next ten years” and an evolution of the Lancia Pu+Ra Zero sculpture that appeared in November 2022. He said it will be “100% electric”, staying true to the automaker’s goal for its future range.

The first teaser showed a portion of the rear end, with round LED taillights under a black spoiler-style panel reminiscent of the Stratos. Lancia now tells us that the horizontal lines on the rear glass are styled after the “Venetian blind-inspired structure of the Beta HPE” from the ’70s. There is no word on the rear bumper though which protrudes from the bodywork and looks like a screen.
The second teaser is focused on the circular roof which according to Lancia “guarantees a panoramic view” shedding natural light inside the cabin. It also gives us a glimpse of the wraparound greenhouse with the side windows seamlessly connected to the rear windshield. Last but not least, the two-door bodystyle of the concept is evident, as are the sexy curves of the rear fenders. Note that the automaker recently showed us the silhouette of the concept, with its three-box proportions looking similar to the Fulvia.
The third teaser highlights the interior of the concept. It reveals the yellow upholstery for the seats made in collaboration with Italian furniture maker Cassina – as with the carpet. We can also see a slim center tunnel with physical buttons for the start/stop and the automatic gearbox, plus a circular element. The latter is described as an “unusual coffee table” but it looks like a little pond filled with water – at least from above.
Luca Napolitano said that the new interior values of Lancia will be “Italian quality, eclecticism, home feeling and redesign tradition”. The designers will try to replicate the “cozy atmospheres of Italian houses” with sustainability, luxury, and technology in mind. The company says that 50% of the touchable surfaces in future production vehicles will be produced with eco-sustainable materials. Among them, the updated “panno Lancia” is a vibrant ochre velvet entirely made of natural fibers and produced in a low-emission process.
All the aforementioned features – alongside the illuminated “calice” grille at the front – will be incorporated into Lancia’s upcoming production models. The new era for the Italian brand will begin with the next-generation Ypsilon supermini set to debut in 2024, followed by the Aurelia crossover in 2026, and the Delta hatchback in 2028.
Are you excited about the new era of Lancia? We will be keeping an eye on new information until the official debut takes place this Saturday.
