Starting from this month, Mazda is now offering six-year warranties for new vehicles that it sells in 28 select markets across Europe.
The extended warranty program is valid for six years or 150,000 km (93,205 miles) – whichever comes first – and was first launched last year in Austria and Germany. It was then extended to Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Republic of Ireland, Kosovo, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia in September 2022.
The new warranty program has most recently expanded to France, Switzerland, and Italy.

The car manufacturer’s new warranty covers all material and manufacturing defects. It also assumes the cost of repairing or replacing affected components. Mazda hopes the free extended warranty will help to “maintain customer loyalty by further enhancing the lifecycle ownership experience across Europe.”
“Mazda drivers across Europe now benefit from one of the most comprehensive warranty packages in the industry,” Mazda Motor Europe chief executive Martijn ten Brink said. “It gives customers peace of mind for up to six years or 150,000 kilometres, but also increases the value of the vehicle when it is sold within this period as a used car.”
In addition to the new six-year warranty, Mazda offers a 12-year anti-perforation and a three-year paint and surface corrosion warranty. Its battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles come with an eight-year / 160,000 km (99,419 mile) warranty.
It is unclear if Mazda plans to expand its warranty in other markets. In the United States, its new vehicles come standard with a 3-year / 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. In Australia, all new Mazda models come standard with a 5-year / unlimited kilometer warranty.
