The much-anticipated Polestar 4 will premiere on April 18 at the Shanghai Auto Show in China as revealed by the latest teaser. The EV will slot between the recently updated Polestar 2 sedan and the brand-new Polestar 3 SUV, as the automaker’s first entry in the coupe-SUV segment.
The model was originally announced back in 2021, and has been teased a few times since. As highlighted by Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO, the Polestar 4 is not simply a modified version of the Polestar 3, as they “reconsidered the entire design to create a new breed of SUV coupe”. Indeed, the teasers show a smaller body with a more aerodynamic silhouette that is closer to the ground than your average high-riding vehicle.

The new teaser focuses on the sharp-looking headlight of the Polestar 4, alongside a portion of its sculpted bonnet. Previous shots revealed the full-width LED taillights and the sloping roofline of the EV that will rival the upcoming Porsche Macan EV.
The Polestar 4 is expected to share its Geely-sourced underpinnings with the Zeekr 001, offering both RWD and AWD versions, and an electric range surpassing the bulkier Polestar 3’s 379 miles (610 km). Despite being called the fastest Polestar production vehicle so far, that claim might be short-lived with the Polestar 5 sportscar slated to debut next year with an impressive 872 hp (650 kW / 883 PS).
We will learn more about the Polestar 4 when it makes its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show next week. In the meantime, check out all the official teasers of the upcoming coupe-SUV in our gallery below.
