The 2024 Mercedes-AMG S63 hasn’t succumbed to the downsizing trend and still rocks a rumbling V8. But while the 4.0-liter twin-turbo motor might make plenty of noise when you tread on the right pedal, new S63s slip silently by at a gentler pace thanks to their hybrid drivetrain’s EV mode and boring old silver and black paint and trim choices.
But for S63 buyers who aren’t content to go quietly and want to make sure they stand out even when no one can hear the V8 scream, Mercedes-AMG has introduced a range of Manufaktur personalization options that cover the interior and exterior.
Paint choices include two solid colors (Vintage Blue Uni and Silicon Grey Uni), four metallics (Graphite, Mystic Blue, Olive, and Rubellite Red), and a couple of special matt coats. The first, Night Black Magno, is definitely for drivers who want to stay under the radar, while the other, Kalahari Gold Magno, definitely isn’t.

Maybe it’s because it reminds us of expensive Mercs from the 1980s and 1990s, but there’s something deliciously grotesque about a 17-ft (5.2 m) $150+k plutocratic barge that’s painted to resemble the bars of precious metal you imagine the owner has stashed in a bank vault.
The Manufaktur interior package brings Exclusive Nappa leather to the front and back seats, each chair features diamond quilting and the AMG logo is embossed into the front head restraints. You also get matching Nappa leather on the armrests, door center panels, center console, lower section of the instrument panel, and on the AMG Performance steering wheel. Thick-pile floor mats proudly display the AMG logo and gain Nappa leather piping, and the illuminated door sill trims feature a Manufaktur pattern as well as the AMG logo.
But to make sure you don’t end up with a total dog mess of color combos, Mercedes limits the interior color pair-ups, meaning you have to choose whether to matte blue, brown, white, or pastel yellow with the obligatory black, but can’t combine say, the yellow and brown. That said, if you’re rich enough, we’re pretty sure Mercedes will let you absolutely crucify your residual values by fusing any colors you like.
