Cartoon-themed vehicles are usually less serious looking than this Ford Mondeo from Ukraine which combines a hefty amount of visual modifications with Peppa badging and a pink wrap inspired by the famous pig.

The “Peppa Project” goes under the name @mondeosportwagon on Instagram. The build started life as a regular grey-painted fifth-gen Mondeo Wagon and it wasn’t until late 2022 that the owner decided on this unconventional piggy-style wrap from Inozetek. Peppa fans – which are mainly young kids and their parents – will notice that all of Ford’s blue oval emblems have been replaced by the logo of the cartoon character.

This Modified Ford Mondeo Wagon Was Inspired By Peppa Pig

Setting aside the pig references, there is much to talk about on the so-called Mondeo SportWagon. The ultra-aggressive bodykit comes from SS Tuning, including bumper extensions, wide fenders, faux vents, a diffuser, and a rear spoiler. All these make the Mondeo’s appearance sporty enough to justify an ST badge on the grille, even though Ford Performance never made a hot version based on this generation. The model has also been de-chromed and gained some features of the facelifted Mondeo ST-Line including the front bumper, the honeycomb grille, and the lighting units.

More importantly, the Peppa-themed Mondeo SportWagon rides on a new set of 20-inch TEC Speedwheels GT8 rims shod in Toyo Tires Proxes rubber and got spacers and a lowering kit by KW Suspension. It is not clear if there are any performance upgrades under the bonnet. The most powerful engine available in this Ford Mondeo generation right from the factory was the 2.0-liter Ecoboost with 237 hp (177 kW / 240 PS), which sounds more than enough for a “grocery getter”.

In any case, the Mondeo SportWagon will never go unnoticed, grabbing the attention of all age groups for different reasons. As a reminder, the EU-spec Ford Mondeo was discontinued in 2022, following the demise of the closely-related US-spec Ford Fusion in 2020. Still, the nameplate lives on in China, in the face of a new generation model which is also available in the Middle East as the Taurus.
