The new Fiat 600 should appeal to fans of the movie Cars, as new photos of the upcoming crossover show that it will almost have eyelashes. These uncamouflaged shots mark the first time we’ve come face to face with undisguised vehicle.

Three shots posted to the @cochespias Instagram account show the 2024 Fiat 600 being filmed on public streets, as the camera in the foreground of the first photo shows. Likely preparing the model for promotional materials, that explains why the camouflage has come off.

Although we’ve previously seen the vehicle testing, these shots show off just how eye-shaped the 600’s headlights will be. They also show a piece of black trim at the corner of the (for lack of a better word) eyelid, that looks remarkably like an eyelash.

Under that, a pair of lower lights (perhaps turn signals) act as cheeks, and an upper grille under the 600 badge looks like a mouth. The effect is such that I half expect the new crossover to start talking about the time it met Lightning McQueen.

Lower down, a central trapezoid beneath the license plate may hint at a sensor array for the crossover’s advanced driver assistance features. On either side of it, grilles will likely feed cooling air to the 600’s battery packs.

Based on the CMP/eCMP architecture, the model will be closely related to the Jeep Avenger, the Opel Mokka, the Citroën DS3, and other Stellantis small crossovers. Power is expected to come from a 54 kWh battery pack, which will feed a single motor that’s capable of generating 154 hp (115 kW/156 PS) and 260 Nm (191.8 lb-ft) of torque.

The model may also get internal combustion power in some markets, as the architecture it’s based on is capable of supporting both electric and hybrid powertrains. The electric version will likely be the major focus in Europe.

Although the similarly styled, all-electric Fiat 500 will be sold in the U.S., Stellantis has yet to reveal if its bigger sibling, the 600, will make it over the Atlantic, too. We expect to find out more when the crossover is launched later this year, for the 2024 model year.
