Aston Martin is having a great start to the year in the F1 Championship, currently being second in the constructor’s standings thanks to Fernando Alonso’s podium appearances. To celebrate that momentum, the brand revealed a special edition of the DBX707, mirroring the livery of the AMR23 F1 single-seater and the official FIA Medical Car of the series.

The Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition is painted in a bespoke Podium Green shade combined with lime accents on the carbon fiber body kit. The 23-inch alloy wheels feature a multi-spoke design and a matte black finish, while the brake calipers behind them are painted in Racing Green. Finally, the “Q by Aston Martin” badges on the front fenders further point out that this is a special DBX.

Setting aside the lack of roof lights and F1 graphics, plus some blacked-up features, the DBX707 AMR23 Edition could easily be mistaken for the official Official FIA Medical Car supporting the grid in this year’s F1 championship.

The situation is different inside, as the emergency kit has given way to a more luxurious and sporty cabin. The Onyx Black upholstery features Eifel Green accents and lime stitching matching the Aston Martin emblem on the headrests. Plenty of carbon fiber is also on the center console, instrument cluster, door cards, and seatbacks. Finally, the door sills are decorated with the AMR23 logo as another reference to the single-seater.

The special edition doesn’t feature any mechanical upgrades, as the stock DBX707 already comes fitted with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine producing a healthy 697 hp (520 kW / 707 PS) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque. Those numbers are enough to propel it from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and allow a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph) which places it in the pantheon of the fastest production SUVs. Furthermore, the DBX707 features a unique suspension setup and more advanced aerodynamics than the regular DBX.

Aston Martin didn’t specify how many units of the DBX707 AMR23 Edition will be available, but the special edition model is already available to order, alongside “additional AMR23 highlights”. We also don’t know the price of the special edition but nothing that comes from the “Q by Aston Martin” division comes cheap.
