Fisker recently delivered the first example of the Ocean SUV to a customer approximately six months after production commenced at Magna Steyr’s factory in Graz, Austria.

The first Fisker Ocean SUV was delivered to the new owner by chief executive Henrik Fisker at the car manufacturer’s facility in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Ocean delivered was a One Launch Edition variant finished in Great White with the available 22-inch AirGlider black alloy wheels and an interior combining Sea Salt elements with white Alcantara seats. Unfortunately, Fisker didn’t release any interior images of the SUV.

The delivery of the Fisker Ocean came shortly after Henrik Fisker spoke at the Nordic EV Summit 2023 in Norway. While speaking at the event, Fisker said his company continues to push forward with plans to produce a zero-carbon car by 2027.

In March, it was revealed that the Ocean Extreme variant in Europe has an official WLTP driving range of 440 miles (707 km), giving it the highest range of any electric SUV currently sold in the Old Continent, beating out the BMW iX xDrive50 with its 380 miles (612 km) of range.

Interestingly, Fisker recently announced that it is developing a swappable battery pack for the Ocean alongside Ample. The companies claim that they could have swappable batteries ready for the SUV by the first quarter of 2024 and believe they should prove particularly popular for drivers in the ride-hailing industry. Fisker will join Nio in offering a battery-swapping program for its customers.

Customers in the U.S. who have placed an order for the Fisker Ocean will have to wait a little longer to take delivery. An email recently obtained by Fiskerati revealed that the firm plans to start U.S. production between late May and June.
