If you’re the lucky owner of a 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3, and you’ve grown tired of the performance or looks of the “standard” car, then the next logical step would be to get in touch with Manthey Performance. Their kit, tailor-made to enhance the already-capable GT3, is responsible for a 4.19-second reduction in the car’s Nurburgring Nordschleife time. And now, if you’re in the U.S., you can start the upgrade process by simply visiting your nearest Manthey-certified Porsche Center.
Offered in Europe since 2022, the kit offers improvements for the car’s aero, chassis setup, braking, and reducing unsprung mass. It does so while ensuring that the GT3 remains road-legal, and, thanks to Porsche’s part-ownership of Manthey-Racing, you won’t have to worry about voiding the factory warranty either.

The most imposing element of the kit is a swan-neck-supported rear wing that is wider than that of the original, featuring a Gurney flap for good measure. The larger endplates proudly display the Manthey logo, while the wing’s angle of attack is also more aggressive. It’s all in the pursuit of eking out more downforce, working together with the modifications to the front of the car. These include a larger front spoiler and some upgrades to the car’s underside for better channeling the air across the front axle. Continuing the theme of underbody aero efficiency, the fins of the rear diffuser are now extended and made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
The Manthey Performance Kit for the Type-992 911 GT3 also offers the option of lightweight wheels which reduce unsprung mass by 16 lbs (7.2 kg) while carbon aero discs for the rear wheels come as standard.
The kit wouldn’t be complete without the four-way coilover suspension, which has been co-developed by engineers from Manthey and Porsche. The shocks are designed to be adjustable without the use of tools, while the springs are 10 percent stiffer at the front and 7 percent stiffer at the rear.
Racing brake pads are available at an extra cost, while the kit comes standard with braided steel brake lines.

The Manthey-Racing performance kit for the 992 911 GT3 can be installed at any Manthey-certified Porsche Center for the princely MSRP of $57,300; to put that into perspective, that’s roughly the starting price of a Porsche Macan. Add the lightweight wheels, and that’ll be another $15,500.
It’s undoubtedly expensive for an upgrade that brings no bump in power, and certainly won’t be for those who appreciate a good game of Top Trumps. However, if you’re on the fence, then the Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles will be offering a try-before-you-buy package. For $1,675, you’ll be able to compare a standard 911 GT3 against the Manthey Performance Kit-equipped car over a 90-minute session, which can be extended to four hours at the LA track if you’re still undecided.
