It’s one thing to buy an SUV with hopes of off-roading with it someday and it’s a whole different thing to actually take it off-road. For one Ford Bronco owner, just going off-road wasn’t enough so he took it to an extreme trail on private property and proved just how capable it is. Spoiler alert: few SUVs could follow this pony into the wilderness.
The poster who took their Ford out for a day in the dirt goes by the handle BentPushRod on Bronco6G. He’s documented the process of turning his base two-door Bronco into an off-roading monster. That includes RCI rock sliders, AC Fab sway bar disconnects, a Lobo hidden winch, 37-inch Yokohama tires, and more. Even the baddest stock Bronco might struggle to keep up.
Despite that, the private property where he found this trail in North Dakota offered a severe challenge. His thread says he was “wheeling with some buggies”, one of which was running 54-inch tires so his Bronco was seriously outgunned. Despite that, take a look at how he handles this wild section of trail below.

The video perfectly demonstrates why it’s so nice to have a second set of eyeballs when off-roading. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have all of the off-road tech seen here and nerves of steel to keep the Bronco upright. Even after overcoming the obstacle, the Bronco still has a lot of climbing to do.
That’s what we see in the next clip as it handily makes the turn to the left and begins to ascend. After it conquered the first section it should come as no surprise that it seems to effortlessly make its way to the buggy just ahead. BentPushRod doesn’t show us exactly how he and the others descended these obstacles or if there was an easier way down somewhere else.
Either way, it’s an excellent example of just how capable an everyday street-legal vehicle can be with the right equipment.
