Kia’s entry in the minivan segment, the Carnival, has been gaining traction in the market for its spacious interior and sleek design, but the automaker is slowly nudging its price tag higher and higher. The 2024 model year brings yet another price hike for the minivan, with Kia raising the MSRP across the board by $630.
The starting price of the 2024 Kia Carnival, including the destination charge, is $34,565. Additionally, the destination charge itself has also become more expensive, rising from $1,335 for the 2023MY to $1,365 for the 2024MY.
Trim options remain completely unchanged for the 2024 model year, with Kia offering buyers the choice of the base LX, LX Seat Package, EX, SX, and SX Prestige trims.

Despite the higher price tags, buyers will not be getting any new features. In fact, some feature will be removed. For 2024, the EX trim loses the All-Auto Up/Down and Safety Power Windows, though they remain standard on the SX and SX Prestige trims. Meanwhile, the Power Tailgate Delete Package for the eight-passenger Carnival EX is no longer available.
However, reverse parking distance monitors, parking collision avoidance tech, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, driver attention warnings, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist are standard across all trims.
As before, the 2024 Carnival is offered with only one engine option. The minivan comes with Kia’s 3.5-liter V6 that makes 290 hp (216 kW/294 PS) and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque, allowing it to tow up to 3,500 lbs (1,588 kg).
The 2024 Carnival will maintain the same fuel economy ratings as the previous model year, according to the EPA. Owners can expect to get 19 MPG (12.3 L/100 km) in the city, 26 MPG (9.0 L/100 km) on the highway, and 22 MPG (10.6 L/100 km) combined.
